Why Revolve PT Swindon?

Fully customized. Adjusted to your goals!
  • Do personal trainers work with beginners like me?
Yes. Personal trainers are beneficial for everyone from complete beginners to professional athletes. I am especially useful to beginners as I can prevent you from falling into the common pitfalls and mistakes that beginners are likely to make, keeping you safer and getting you results faster than you would on your own.
  • How much does personal training cost?
The cost of a one-to-one personal training package varies depends on chosen plan. My prices depend on the package you choose to purchase. To reward loyalty I offer discounts on my larger packages, so the more sessions per week you choose to work with me, the cheaper each session works out to be. You can see my current packages pricing at: https://www.revolve-pt.com/services
  • What does a typical training session with Revolve Personal Training Swindon involve?
During our first sessions I will start you on staple exercises that everyone should be able to do well to have a high quality of life, if you are unable to perform these staple exercises then the program I will design for you will be focused on corrective exercises that will improve your ability to do them. Some of the staple exercises include: Squats, Deadlifts and Chest Press. The information I collect while supervising your training and through discussion with you will be used to develop a training plan supported by nutritional advice tailored to your individual needs and goals. Once the program is underway, I will regularly check in with you to ensure your wellbeing and satisfaction with the training that is being provided. In the interest of maximizing the value my clients get from my sessions, after teaching them the warm-up exercises I would like them to perform, I encourage them to warm-up independently before our session to due to begin so as to ensure your money isn't being wasted by having me spend a portion of your session watching you warm-up.
  • I have an injury/condition, can I still benefit from training with a personal trainer?
Yes, of course. Once your doctor/surgeon has given you the green light to start exercise, I will make a plan tailored to your needs that will accommodate any limitations that your condition imposes on your training and depending on the nature of your injury/condition a well made training program can actually accelerate your recovery. There are some cases where an injury or condition is too severe for me to be confident I can safely train you, in those cases I will refer you to a trusted physiotherapist or someone else with the right expertise for you.
  • Why is personal training important?
Training is a skill, and like any skill, it requires time, patience and the right knowledge to do safely and effectively. Each exercise is it's own skill to learn and while you could learn without guidance, it’s far safer and more time-effective to learn how to perform each movement properly from the outset from someone experienced. Investing in Revolve Personal Trainer Swindon is an opportunity to leverage my unique knowledge and expertise to take a shortcut past all the wasted time and potential injuries that years of trial and error you would experience attempting to train alone. Research also shows that having a support network and a sense of accountability is critical for success in achieving health and fitness goals. This is something hiring a personal trainer provides, which simply cannot be matched when training alone.
  • Do I really need a personal trainer?
If you’re serious about making a long-term investment in your health and fitness, yes. You aren't paying me to just stand around watching you train; I take my work seriously and continuously study to ensure the plans and training I provide to my clients are as safe and effective as possible using both the latest research and the knowledge that has withstood the test of time. That is what makes working with me indispensable if you’re committed to making significant, sustainable lifestyle changes. When you want something done right the first time, you ask an expert. If you are sick, you speak to a doctor. If you want your car fixed, you speak to a mechanic. If you want to train, you speak to a personal trainer. Personal training with Revolve Personal Trainer Swindon is not a quick fix; it is a long-term commitment to your health and well-being that will provide you with knowledge that you can use for the rest of your life.
  • How long does a personal training session last?
Each personal training session done with me lasts for 60 minutes. You may spend a little more time in the gym than that though as I encourage my clients to warm-up and cool-down independently to maximize the value of their sessions. Typically the total time you will spend in the gym will be up to 80-90 minutes, where 60 minutes of that time is with me and the remaining 20-30 is spent doing independent activities.
  • How many times a week should I train with my trainer?
How frequently you train completely depends on your lifestyle, budget and preferences. I recommend training at least two times per week to see results. To maximize results I encourage most of my clients to train between three and four times per week. It is your choice as to whether you train with me every time you are in the gym or train alone and just check in with me once a week, however for best results I recommend that you do as many of your sessions with me as you can to ensure your safety and the quality of your training.
  • Will I be advised on diet and supplements during my training?
Yes, while I am not qualified to provide you with a complete diet plan detailing everything you should eat on a daily basis, I can provide you with advice to allow you to make better decisions with your food when working towards your goals. The hours you spend in the gym with me are only a part of the picture when it comes to your training, the rest of the time you spend outside of the gym is just as if not more important when it comes to achieving your goals. It doesn't matter how effectively you spend your time in the gym if you fail to eat and rest adequately when outside of the gym, so your nutrition and recovery must be taken seriously if you want to see results. I will also provide ongoing support to make the personal training plan work for you. This may include problem-solving to help you plan for social events and travel. While supplements should not form the basis of your diet, they are useful for plugging gaps in your nutrition, which may become more apparent when trying to get leaner.
  • How long will I need to train with a personal trainer?
The amount of time you will need to work with me for depends on your goals. Some clients only come for a few sessions to learn a new exercise whereas some are looking for long term support to secure their health and quality of life. My focus when working with clients is to provide them with the tools and knowledge to be able to train safely without me, however it is not uncommon for my clients to continue working with me even after they have the skills to train alone purely for the accountability or the enjoyment of having company while they train. I am not a quick-results and high-client turnover business. Every client that makes a long-term investment in Revolve Personal Trainer Swindon choose to do so because they see the value in the continued progression, accountability and ongoing support that I provide.
  • Shall I lose some weight before reaching out to a personal trainer?
No. The best way to lose that weight you are concerned about is by working with a personal trainer, that way we can ensure that you do so in a healthy way to maximize the chance that they weight you lose stays off permanently.
  • Am I too old to get a personal trainer?
No, there is no age limitations to starting training with a personal trainer. I have personally trained and delivered results to a vast range of individuals. From college students to retirees. If anything, the older you get the more valuable hiring a personal trainer becomes as what we offer is even more important for older clients. Due to your more advanced age, your ability to recover from training and injuries is reduced and you have a greater appreciation for just how precious time is. Working with a personal trainer will provide you with a much safer and time efficient means of training towards your goals and ensure that you maintain the strength and fitness to have a high quality of life well into your later years.
